Yoga:  Hatha @ Blackburn Primary School
Mondays, 7.00-8.00pm
Term 2 - April 28 - June 30 (No class King's B'Day)

$135 payable at the beginning of term or $18 per class casual rate
This term we are offering something different.  We have two fabulous yoga teachers working fortnightly.

Diana will be teaching the class on April 28, May 12, 26, June 16 and 30.
"Diana adores yoga in all its forms and has been practicing for over 30 years. Her teaching is invitational and thoughtful - you can expect creative, slow flowing movements combined with breath (pranayama) practices.  You can explore challenges on your level as well as explore a deeper awareness of self. Diana invites you to build both inner and outer strength, openness of mind, body and soul and to experience connection and a welcomed space to just be."

Vanessa will be teaching on May 5, 19, June 2, 23.
“I teach and practice yoga with a deep focus on body awareness, integrating sensory and movement-based exploration to foster a stronger connection between mind and body in order to reduce stress . My approach blends asana & somatic practices with traditional yogic breathing techniques, offering tools that support balance and resilience in modern life. Each session prioritises rest and the gentle revival of the body, mind, and emotions, creating space for presence, healing, and renewal.
Always different and not quite one style or another, i share my own learnings on the mat.
I hope you enjoy these practices as much as I do. "

Casual bookings welcome.

Qigong
Come and try: Wednesday 21st May, 6.00pm - 6.45pm
Just $5 per person!

Foundations in Qigong Course:
Wednesday 6.00pm - 6.45pm
May 28th - 2nd July

$90 payable at the beginning of the course
A precursor to Tai Chi, Qigong is a mind-body movement practice that incorporates breath, movement, meditation and self-massage. It is designed to help improve circulation, balance and coordination and provides gentle stretching, exercises joints, tendons and muscles, and calms the mind , helping reduce stress and tension.

In the 6-week program, you will be introduced to the foundations of Qigong, and progressively learn and practice a set routine called The 18 Forms (Shibashi).  The practice combines slow, deliberate movements with the breath which can be done standing or seated. It is an excellent movement activity for every body. The movements are simple, relaxing and mindful, performed in a flowing, rhythmic manner which enables us to develop a mind-body connection and promote full body health.
